Abstract: A look at the XIXth century through the eyes of its great painters Goya, Madrazo, Degrain, Rosales, Fortuny, Gisbert, Sorolla, etc. in order to discover their world, the topics they chose and the messages they wished to convey.
Our journey begins with the inauguration of Rafael Moneo’s extension of the museum and the exhibition ‘The XIX Century at the Prado’ but looks back much earlier, to the XIXth Century when the museum first opened its doors to become one of the most important art galleries in the world.
These pictures are personal letters to each one of us in which the feelings of a painter are expressed and a fragment of our own history is defined.
A 50’ documentary film shot and post-produced in High Definition.
